March 04, (THEWILL) –Â The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has announced a 30-man provisional Super Eagles roster for the last Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoffs against the Black Stars of Ghana.
As THEWILL previously reported, on the 25th of March, Nigeria will make the trip to Ghana for the first leg of the playoffs, before hosting the Ghanaians four days later at the freshly upgraded Moshood Abiola stadium in Abuja.
Leicester City’s Ademola Lookman, the new Super Eagles recruit, Akinkunmi Amoo, a teenage midfielder for FC Copenhagen in the Danish Superliga, and Watford star Emmanuel Dennis have all been named in the squad.

Taiwo Awoniyi, Chidozie Awaziem, and a slew of others have also been called into action. Chidera Ejuke, Ogenyi Onazi, Peter Olayinka, Jamilu Collins, and Paul Onuachu are among the players on standby.
Austin Eguavoen and Emmanuel Amunike have also called up Oghenekaro Etebo, who only recently returned from a layoff. Calvin Bassey, a defender for Glasgow Rangers, has returned to the team, along with teammate Leon Balogun, who has regained his fitness.
Nigeria will play Ghana in what is a potentially tense installment of their West African rivalry, with both nations vying for one of Africa’s five World Cup tickets, which will be staged in Qatar later this year.
