June 09, (THEWILL) – Leke Adeboye, son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has given out N2 million to some youth entrepreneurs in order to fund their businesses.
The kind gesture was done in commemoration of the clergy’s 41st birthday.
Speaking during the event, Adeboye, who is the lead pastor at Redeemed Christian Church of God, LSC, The Bridge, said that he is aware of the struggles that small and medium enterprise owners face in Nigeria.
“It is said that most businesses are expected to fail within the first five years, particularly because of lack of access to funds and several other factors.
“I took up the challenge to address this issue by providing funds to five individuals with small businesses to help them scale their businesses and create value worth millions within a few months.
“Out of over 400 proposals, five people were shortlisted and received N400,000 each in funding for their businesses. It was initially N200,000, but Sunday was a day of sudden miracles so it was multiplied into two,” he stated.
