May 01, (THEWILL) – LeBron James has warned his Los Angeles Lakers teammates that they will need to be at their very best in their upcoming playoff series against the Golden State Warriors.

THEWILL recalls that the Lakers only secured their place in the playoffs after upsetting the Memphis Grizzlies. In contrast, the Warriors advanced to the playoffs after a nail-biting Game 7 victory over the Sacramento Kings.

With over 20 years of NBA playoff experience under his belt, James knows just how dangerous the Warriors can be in the post-season. During his second stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Warriors proved to be the team’s nemesis. In all four matchups between 2014 and 2018, the Warriors won three times, including two crushing defeats in 2017 and 2018.

The Warriors will undoubtedly rely on the sharpshooting of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, who are capable of lighting up the scoreboard. Curry demonstrated his scoring prowess in Sunday’s game, pouring in 50 points, including seven 3-pointers.

However, the Lakers are now much healthier than earlier this season, with James and Anthony Davis both back in the lineup, giving the team hope of causing an upset against the defending champions.
