August 28, (THEWILL) – Milan defeated Bologna convincingly 2-0 to maintain their perfect Serie A record with Rafael Leao scoring one goal and providing an assist for teammate, Olivier Giroud, to score the other.
In each of their first two league games, Stefano Pioli’s team had to come back from a goal down to win one and tie the other, but they did not require the same heroic effort on Saturday.
Leao was a constant threat down the left wing and scored a goal that was well-deserved in the first half before assisting Giroud in scoring a goal that capped off an outstanding display.

The victory, at least momentarily, put Milan on top of the early Serie A standings, and the Rossoneri have now gone 19 games without a loss in the top level, which is the longest active unbeaten record among Europe’s top five leagues.
Milan will attempt to continue their winning streak when they visit Sassuolo on Tuesday, before facing Inter in the local derby while Salernitana will play against Bologna on Thursday.
