BEVERLY HILLS, September 01, (THEWILL) – Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, has endorsed Mr. Tokunbo Abiru to replace the deceased former senator, Senator Bayo Osinowo, of Lagos East senatorial district in the scheduled bye-election slated for October 31, 2020, under the banner of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
In a tweet, Rt. Hon Obasa said Abiru has shown a great deal of enthusiasm in governance adding that he will impact positively on governance.

Recall that Abiru formally resigned from his GMD post at Polaris Bank on August 31, 2020, to join the race for the Lagos East Bye-election.
The Ikorodu-born former Managing Director has been consulting stakeholders in the APC ahead of the party’s primary taking place on Thursday, September 3, 2020.
Over the weekend, Abiru met with Local Government party Chairmen and ward executives in Ikorodu Federal constituency to seek their support for the senatorial seat.
