Kelis Calls Out Beyonce For Intellectual Theft

July 30, (THEWILL) – American singer, Kelis Rogers, has accused her colleague, Beyonce Knowles, of intellectual theft.

According to the singer, Knowles did not seek her permission before sampling her 1999 song, Get Along With You, on Knowles song, Energy, off her album, Renaissance.

Some of her fans had stated that Knowles album will include a sample of Rogers song. After reading that, Rogers took to social media to complain about Knowles’ act.

“My mind is blown too because of the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of the three people involved is astounding.

“I heard about this the same way everyone did. Nothing is ever as it is, some of this people in this business have no soul or integrity and they have fooled everyone.

“It’s not a collab, it’s a theft.

She later took to Instagram again and added that sampling her song is not the issue, but the fact that the two of them are blacks. They have met and have mutual friends together, but she couldn’t contact her and ask her permission.

She also called out Pharrell Williams, who co-founded the Neptunes with Chad Hugo, who are producers of Knowles’ album.

She stated that Williams should know better, as it is a direct hit at her. She added that she wished Knowles, Hugo or Williams or any other person who worked on the production of the song reached out to her.
