October 20, (THEWILL) – Liverpool have reportedly reached an agreement with Victor Osimhen over a potential transfer from Napoli. According to Italian journalist, Valter De Maggio, the Nigerian striker has agreed personal terms with the Merseyside club.
This follows reports earlier this week that Liverpool sent scouts to watch Osimhen play for Nigeria during the recent international break. The Reds could be looking for a long-term replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose contract expires next summer.
With Darwin Núñez, Diogo Jota and Cody Gakpo already at the club, it is unclear where Osimhen would fit into Liverpool’s attack. However, the 24-year-old could leave Napoli next summer as he is yet to agree a new contract.

Chelsea are also believed to be interested in Osimhen as they look to strengthen their forward line. Wherever he ends up, the speculation around the Super Eagles star’s future looks set to continue.
Osimhen has developed into one of Europe’s most coveted young strikers during his time in Italy. He finished last season as the highest goalscorer, the first for an African in the League’s 125-year-old history.
