Jonathan, Seven Aggrieved Governors, Others In Crucial Meeting

SAN FRANCISCO, September 15, (THEWILL) –  Reconciliation talks to resolve the crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, continued Sunday night at the Presidential Villa in Abuja between President Goodluck Jonathan and the seven aggrieved governors with some of the governors loyal to the Bamanga Tukur-led PDP also in attendance.

THEWILL can report that the meeting started at about 5pm with Governors Rotimi Amaechi of Rivers, Babangida Aliyu of Niger State; as well Governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Abdulfattah Ahmed (Kwara) Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Ibrahim Shema (Katsina), Ibrahim Dankwambo (Gombe), Liyel Imoke (Cross River) and Idris Wada (Kogi) already seated.

The crucial meeting ended with all parties agreeing to meet again on October 7, 2013.

All parties involved in the talks also agreed to end the media war.
