June 18, (THEWILL)- Inter Miami have announced a major restructuring, naming Raul Sanllehi, as their new president of football operations. This move, sees the former Arsenal and Barcelona director taking charge of the sporting side of the club, while Xavi Asensi has been appointed president of business operations.

Sanllehi, who most recently served as CEO of Spanish side Real Zaragoza, expressed excitement about the ambitious project at Inter Miami. “I don’t see a reason not to take this amazing project,” he said “They want to turn this club into a global football powerhouse.”

The Spaniard brings a wealth of experience, having held key roles at European giants Barcelona from 2008 to 2019 and Arsenal from 2017 to 2020.
