October 23, (THEWILL) – The Speaker of Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chike Olemgbe has sent a heartfelt condolence message to the family of Rt. Hon. Johnson Duru, a member of Ideato South state constituency, over the death of his son, Mr Michelle Chidozie Duru in the United States of America.

In the condolence message endorsed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Peter Uwa, the Speaker described the news of the sudden death of the 23-year-old man as an unpalatable and rude shock.

Chike Olemgbe, who is also a Member of the Ihitte-Uboma state constituency in the 10th house of the legislative arm of the Imo state government observed that Michelle Duru was a promising and highly talented youth, who had early in life, exhibited signs of greatness and patriotic disposition.

Speaker Chike Olemgbe recalled that Michelle Duru, even at 23, was a peacemaker, lover of his fellow human beings and highly intellectual.

“The death of this promising young man, a budding talent, who went far away to the United States of America in search of golden fleece, is a big loss to Imo state and Nigeria. It is not a thing of Joy. However, God Almighty will surely console the bereaved family and people of Imo state. On behalf of the principal officers, members and the entire Imo State House of Assembly, I urge our member, Rt. Hon. Johnson Duru, his family and the entire people of Ideato South state constituency to bear the loss with fortitude as the Almighty God is the only one who can mend our broken hearts”, the speaker advised.
