August 28, (THEWILL) – Comedian cum actor, Ayo Makun, has started rebuilding his Lagos home, which was recently gutted by fire.
A few weeks ago, the laughter merchant lost valuables worth millions of naira to an inferno that ravaged the building.
Firefighters tried to salvage what was left of the home, which had been reduced to rubble.
Grace Makun, AY’s sister-in-law, also shared a video showing the aftermath of the fire at the comedian’s Lagos home.
Speaking about the incident, AY took to X to reveal that the only belongings he travelled with were the items he has now, as the fire incident destroyed all other valuables.
He also described the unfortunate incident as an adversity that will be a stepping stone to greatness.
The comedian shared a video of the construction process going on in his house.
“It feels weird to realise that the only clothes, shoes, and jewellery I have right now are the ones I travelled with.
“There is no such thing as going back to square one.
“We shall rebuild our lives using this adversity as a stepping stone to greatness. God, no go shame us”, he wrote.
