I’ll Be Grateful To Go To Grave Without Reconciling With Julius Agwu, Basketmouth – AY Makun

July 20, (THEWILL) – Comedian cum actor, Ayo Makun, has opened up again on his feud with his colleagues, Bright Okpocha also known as Basketmouth and Julius Agwu.

A few months ago, AY revealed that his misunderstanding with Basketmouth started over some money, which he was yet to receive for a show he anchored for him.

Reacting to AY’s comment, Basketmouth described his colleague’s claims as lies.

The two were involved in a back and forth before taking their rest. A few months after that drama, AY and Agwu clashed over alleged defamation.

Speaking about his feud with his two colleagues on Teju Babyface’s show, AY said he will be happy if he dies without reconciling with Basketmouth and Agwu.

AY also recalled the attempts he made to mend his relationship with Basketmouth, but realised friendship is not by force.

“Some senior colleagues in the comedy industry knew about my beef with Basketmouth and at some point in time, they had to ask me to slow down.

“They were like: ‘You are doing too much. You are putting in too much to make this thing work, friendship is not by force’.

“I was believing that ‘No, this can work’. Even in my last stand-up comedy show, I had to go on stage and I did another routine.

“How is my guy? This is my guy. If you see this guy, tell him he is my guy.

“And the following morning, everywhere exploded again. ‘We are not friends. We are not this. We are not that.’

Speaking about Agwu, he said, he and his wife were there for the comedian when he was sick.

“It is really strange to wake up and friends become enemies. Julius Agwu called me a witch on stage, someone forwarded the clip to me.

“I was dealing with that when I saw another clip. And I said no, I can’t take this again. Do you know how painful it is? This was someone I was there for when the health issues started.

“Myself and my wife would go there, make arrangements for him. I was there for him. I can’t go into details and then I woke up to the clips.

“So, for me now, I am not pushing anything anymore.

“As I am here now as AY, if I have to go to my grave without sitting with any of these guys to say ‘hello,’ ‘hi,’ I will be happy”, he stated.
