August 23, (THEWILL) – The management of Ichofe Wanderers FC, a team based in Warri, Delta State, has confirmed that an agreement has been reached with the youth team of newly promoted Nigeria Premier League (NPL) side, Sporting Lagos, for the services of twin brothers, Forukpo Boelayefa Praise and Forukpo Ayekpo Marvelous.
The Chief Executive Officer of Ichofe Wanderers FC, Mr. Onokpite Oghenekaro, confirmed the development, noting that the boys have great talent and will become top football stars. “The boys have moved to Sporting Lagos youth team where they will continue developing. This shows we are doing things right for Sporting Lagos to request them. They will hit the top soon as part of our talented pool,” he said.
Mr. Oghenekaro added that Ichofe Wanderers still has other promising players. “We train in Warri, Delta State and have many boys with us. It’s our belief every player blossoms in their own time,” he stated.
FIFA licensed football agent, Mr. Eddie Iseri Ogbemudia, who represented the releasing club in negotiations, also praised the deal. “This makes history and I’m glad to be part of it. These boys are future Nigeria national team stars. In a few years, see how they blossom,” he commented.
“I hope Sporting Lagos moulds these rare gems into the diamonds they are. Let’s see what comes from them soon,” Ogbemudia added.
The transfer signifies Ichofe Wanderers’ reputation for developing young talent while strengthening Sporting Lagos’ youth program. With proper development, the twins could become major stars for club and country.
