I Was Once Promised N3m To Become Drug Mule – Segun Ogedengbe Reveals

July 04, (THEWILL) – Former Nollywood actor, Femi Ogedengbe, has shared his challenges while struggling as an actor in Nigeria.
Ogedengbe, who currently lives in America, disclosed that he was almost recruited to become a drug mule and had to pray to God to change his situation so he could turn down the enticing offer.
The actor revealed that a wealthy individual approached him at a mall in Lagos and offered him N3 million to transport illegal substances out of the country.
According to Ogedengbe, the man acknowledged his financial struggles and expressed his willingness to assist him.
Additionally, he mentioned meeting some women with the wealthy man who had recently returned from delivering illegal substances overseas.
Ogedengbe recounted discussing the encounter with his wife and both prayed for a change of circumstances to resist the temptation.
Nollywood actors are often targeted by drug lords to become drug mules.
Furthermore, Ogedengbe shared the tragic loss of over 35 friends to armed robbery in the early 1990s.
“In the period from 1990 to 1995, over 35 of my friends were killed due to robbery. My childhood friend and partner, Orji, turned out to be a major robber. Ten of my childhood friends were brutally murdered on our street. They were all hacked”, he revealed.
He also recounted the violent encounters he and his colleagues faced with cultists in Nollywood, highlighting the prevalence of cultism.
Ogedengbe described an incident where he, Prince Eke, and other coworkers had to flee from armed cultists, with only Hanks Anuku standing his ground to confront the danger.
