Hausa Community Declares Support For Osinowo, Vows To Vote Out Abiodun

July 07, (THEWILL) – The Hausa Community in Ogun State has vowed to vote out Governor Dapo Abiodun in the 2023 governorship election, following his negligence of the community since his inception in office.

This was just as the community threw its weight behind Deji Osinowo, the gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the state.

The community accused Abiodun of failing to keep his electioneering campaign promises in 2019 and being insensitive to the plight of the people, especially in the area of community projects.

The Head of Hausa Community in the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Hassan, who disclosed this on Wednesday, at the Trade Leader Council (TRALCON) meeting in Abeokuta, insisted that the community would not vote for Abiodun for abandoning members.

Hassan, said that the members of the community were ready to support and cast their votes for Osinowo, because he picked a member of the council, Alhaji Usman Sulaimon, as his running mate.

He said he had known Sulaimon, the Director of Operation and Publicity of TRALCON to be a man of integrity and for Osinowo to choose him as his deputy, he was certain he is the right person to deliver his people from hardship in the state.

The Seriki Hausawa of Egbaland, noted that the community had written many letters to the governor over their plight, but up till this moment he had not replied them or considered doing something for the community.

“We have told Dapo that we are not supporting him because he did not support us. We have written so many letters to him, but he did not reply. This time we will not vote for him”, he added.
