October 23, (THEWILL) – Controversial actress, Halima Abubakar, who was recently suspended from Nollywood for spreading lies about her colleagues, has tendered a heartfelt apology to Apostle Johnson Suleman, the general overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, for the horrific lies she spread on the internet concerning him.

”I am writing today to acknowledge the falsehoods I made against you on social media and to offer my sincerest apologies. After deep reflection and for my conscience to be in accord with God, I have realised the depth of the harm, pains and distress caused by my lies.

“I admit that I made a false allegation against you and also regret my actions and the damage I caused to you, your wife, Dr Mrs Lizzy Suleman, your family and the leaders of the Omega Fire Ministry.

“With this letter I humbly ask for your forgiveness, recognising that my apology cannot undo the harm, pain and distress I caused and I ask you to find a place in your heart to forgive me as I was not thinking right then.

“Sir, you have done a lot for humanity, please extend your hands of forgiveness towards me.

“Once again sir, I am truly sorry for all the hurt and distress I caused you, your family and your ministry.

“Thank you very much and may the heaven calm your heart. God bless you, sir.”

Recall that Suleman had sued Halima for the sum of N1 billion naira for continuously defaming him.

Among other things, he sought a declaration that her publication was defamatory. He also demanded that she tender an unreserved apology and other monetary damages.

He also asked that the statements published by her which were falsely and maliciously written and published to the general public be retracted and published on her Instagram handle and on several online blogs and newspapers.

He also demanded that she pay him an additional N20,000,000.00, being the legal fee paid to the counsels handling his suit against her.

Halima had alleged that she was in a romantic relationship with Suleman for six years and that she was pregnant for him thrice but he made her abort the pregnancies among other allegations.
