Gwarzo Commiserates With Jigawa Govt, Residents Over Fuel Tanker Explosion

October 17, (THEWILL) – The Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development, Abdullahi Tijjani Gwarzo, has commiserated with the Government and people of Jigawa State, over the fuel tanker explosion in Majia town in Taura Local Government Area, which claimed more than 100 lives.

The Minister, in a condolence message to the families of the victims, described the incident as devastating, heartbroken and a national tragedy.

In the message which was issued to newsmen on Thursday by his SSA Media and Publicity, Malam Adamu Abdullahi, the minister said: “I was deeply shocked and griefed when the news of the incident was broken to me.”

He enjoined the families of the victims to receive the incident as a fateful act from the Almighty Allah(SWT).

Gwarzo prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the souls of the deceased eternal rest and give their families the fortitude to bear the loss.

He urged the people to be safety conscious with a view to preventing future occurrences of such tragedies and commended the Federal Government for its prompt response to the incident.
