Gov. Yusuf Commends Supreme Court Judges, Urges People To Have Confidence In Them

December 24, (THEWILL) – Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has commended Judges of the Supreme Court for their commitment to justice and fairness in their handling of cases before them.

The Governor stated this while launching Corporate Security training for 2500 youths in the State at the Sani Abacha Stadium on Sunday.

“I want to use this opportunity to commend the Supreme Court Judges for their commitment to justice and fairness.

“I will also want to call on the people to have confidence in them and continue to respect their integrity,” Yusuf said.

He assured his supporters that he would win his appeal at the Supreme Court against the verdict of the Court of Appeal, which upheld the judgement of the Kano State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal that voided his election.

He said the event was part of his administration’s plans to ensure that employment opportunities were provided for the teaming youths of the State.

He further said that the launching of the training at the Corporate Security Training School would commence with a newly introduced security syllabus.

“This Training School was established by our government in 2011 and youths have been trained in security work and posted to various ministries and agencies in the State.

“Today, we are commissioning this programme with 2500 beneficiaries, all of whom will be trained in security skills.

“I want to assure the people of the State that my administration will continue to provide human development programmes in order to support the teaming youths of the state,” the Governor said.

Beneficiaries of the programme are drawn from the 44 local government areas of the State, and at the completion of the training, they will be provided with jobs in the State MDAs as well as in the local governments.
