September 05, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has joined family, friends, colleagues, political associates and the entire people of the state to celebrate Senator Barnabas Gemade as he clocks 76 years.

The Governor, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, described Gemade, who once represented the North East Senatorial district of the state at the Senate, as an accomplished engineer, technocrat, businessman, politician, administrator, and illustrious son of Benue State.

He prayed to God to continue to bless the Elder statesman with good health, wisdom and long life so that he would continue to make great impacts on the lives of the people of the state and country.

The statement quoted the Governor as wishing Gemade well in all his endeavours.

Similarly, the Jechira Media Forum (JMF) has described Chief Gemade as someone who is using his political experience to stabilise the polity in Benue State.

In a statement in Makurdi to felicitate Gemade at 76, the forum believed that the former lawmaker, who has seen it all in life, will continue to serve humanity and society.

“It is our belief that Engr. Chief Barnabas Gemade will use the occasion of his birthday celebration to muster support to the Alia administration now and beyond,” it said.

President of the JMF, Kajo Martins and Secretary, Iorfa Akpen, pledge the forum’s continued prayers to God to grant the celebrant sound health, wisdom, and more years ahead and wish him well in his future endeavours.
