June 10, (THEWILL)- Italy edged past Bosnia & Herzegovina 1-0 in their final warm-up friendly ahead of Euro 2024. Davide Frattesi’s first-half strike proved the difference as the Azzurri made it six games unbeaten going into the tournament.
The hosts had goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to thank for a crucial early save to deny Haris Hajradinovic’s strike. Italy then went close through Federico Chiesa before Frattesi swept home from Chiesa’s cross on 38 minutes.
After the break, Gianluca Scamacca twice forced good stops from Kenan Piric but Italy could not add to their lead. Bosnia offered little attacking threat, however, allowing the European champions to comfortably see out the win.
Luciano Spalletti’s side opened their Euro 2024 campaign against Albania on June 15. Bosnia, meanwhile, have now lost six in a row ahead of Nations League action in September.
