March 25, (THEWILL) – Nottingham Forest have officially lodged an appeal against their four-point deduction for breaching the English Premier League’s Profit & Sustainability Rules (PSR), the club announced on Monday. The deduction, imposed last week, plunged Forest into the relegation zone on 21 points, one point adrift of safety.
The East Midlands club had previously stated their extreme disappointment at the decision and confirmed they would appeal within the permitted seven-day window. Their appeal follows fellow strugglers Everton successfully reducing their own points penalty from 10 points to six after appealing earlier this season.
