FG Declares Tuesday, Wednesday Public Holidays As Muslims Celebrate Sallah

SAN FRANCISCO, October 10, (THEWILL) –  The federal government Thursday declared Tuesday, 15th and Wednesday, 16th October, as public holidays to mark the Muslim Id-el-Karbir Sallah celebration.

Declaring the holidays on behalf of the federal government in Abuja, Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro congratulated Muslims and enjoined them and all other Nigerians to join hands with President Jonathan in his ‘sustained efforts to raise Nigeria to the next level of development’.

The statement signed by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Mrs. Fatima B. A Bamidele, further urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace and unity across the nation.

The Minister therefore wishes all Nigerians across the world ‘a most rewarding and peaceful celebration’.
