FCMB Sex Scandal: ‘Family Member,’ Adetunji Iromini Denies Issuing Statement On Behalf Of Moyo Thomas

… Moyo Changes Name from Thomas to Mo David

SAN FRANCISCO, January 05, (THEWILL) – Adetunji Iromini has denied issuing a statement on behalf of the family of Moyo Thomas on the paternity scandal involving her and the Managing Director of First City Monument Bank, Adam Nuru.

A statement purportedly signed by Iromini in defense of Moyo, went viral on social media and was published by some media houses.

The statement stated among other things that Tunde indeed suffered a mild stroke which he recovered from after his wife relocated to the US in December of 2017, following their separation, but denied that her children were fathered by Adam Nuru.

However, Iromini who is the Vice-President, Renewable Energy Association of Nigeria and Founder SolarCentric Technologies, said in a statement on Tuesday that he was not the one who put out the release. He also denied being a member of Moyo’s family, adding that he only knew her, Tunde and the FCMB boss as former colleagues.

The ex-banker said he had no idea why unscrupulous elements would use his name to spread fake news. He subsequently threatened to take legal action against any media outfit that publishes the fake statement.

Recall that on December 31st, a group identified as ‘JUSTICE FOR TUNDE THOMAS’ group launched a petition on change.org asking the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to sanction the managing director of FCMB, Adam Nuru over what they described as indecent sexual behaviour.

The group alleged that Adam Nuru is responsible for the breakdown of late Tunde Thomas’ marriage to Moyo, which eventually led to Tunde’s death late December 2020 from depression. They said that the children from his marriage to Moyo belonged to his wife’s boss, Adam Nuru, with whom she was having an affair with.

Meanwhile, Moyo has changed her name from Moyo Thomas to Mo David, following her relocation outside the country.

Moyo Thomas who now works as a recruitment manager with Park Nicollet Health Services in America changed her name to Mo David to reflect on her LinkedIn profile.

Her name change may not be unconnected to the fact that she wants nothing about her past life and marriage attached to her and wants a clean break. Unfortunately, that hasn’t quite worked out in her favour following the death of her ex-husband. But when news of the paternity scandal broke, Moyo quickly removed her profile picture from the page.
