March 28, (THEWILL) – Ansu Fati made his long-awaited comeback to first-team training on Monday, giving Barcelona a big boost in squad depth and striking options.
Since a hamstring injury sustained in January, the teenager has been in Madrid rehabbing and he is now back home and on the verge of returning to action.
Fati reportedly underwent a series of medical tests at the club earlier on Monday, before being cleared to return to work on the training ground.
The attacker was then greeted warmly by his teammates at the Catalan side’s Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gramper sports grounds.
There has already been much conjecture about when Ansu would be able to return to the field, but it appears like Barcelona will not take any chances with the teenager this time around.
After patiently waiting for Fati to be well rehabilitated rather than rush him back to action Barca are prepared to wait some more as Fati might be back in two weeks if everything goes well and there are no setbacks during training.
