October 18, (THEWILL) – The England Football Association has issued suspensions and fines to Nottingham Forest manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, and midfielder, Morgan Gibbs-White, following a heated English Premier League match against Brighton and Hove Albion last month.

Brighton boss, Fabian Hurzeler, also received a financial penalty for his role in the incident.

During the 2-2 draw, both managers were shown red cards, while Gibbs-White was dismissed for a second bookable offence after a strong challenge. The 24-year-old player reacted angrily to the decision, prompting further confrontations on the touchline.

The FA statement confirmed that all three individuals admitted to their respective charges. Espirito Santo faces a three-match touchline ban, including a previously suspended one-match sanction, and must pay a £55,000 fine. Gibbs-White received a one-match suspension and a £20,000 fine for his actions.

Brighton manager, Hurzeler, who was also sent off during the altercation, has been ordered to pay £8,000 for his involvement. The FA described the behaviour of both managers as “unacceptable technical area behaviour” following the incident involving Gibbs-White.
