Deputy Senate President Mourns Veteran Journalist Kabir Yusuf

July 03, (THEWILL) – The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has mourned Kabir Yusuf, a veteran journalist with the Radio France Internationale (RFI Hausa), who died on Tuesday.

The late journalist, who hailed from Kano State, was the Federal Capital Territory correspondent of the Triumph Newspaper and RFI Hausa. He covered the State House for many years until his death.

In a statement by his Special Adviser, Media and Publicity, Alhaji Ismail Mudashir, Senator Jibrin described the deceased as a hardworking and committed journalist.

He also acknowledged the remarkable contributions of the veteran journalist to the realm of journalism and education.

“Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of Kabiru Yusuf during this difficult time. May Allah SWT grant him Jannatul Firdausi,” the lawmaker added.
