September 02, (THEWILL) – Iconic singer, David Adeleke, better known as Davido, has gifted a physically challenged man, Adebisi Michael, an undisclosed amount of money.
In a video shared by BBC, Adebisi revealed how a ‘like’ by Davido on one of his tweets changed his life.
Adebisi had responded to Davido’s tweet where the singer expressed his intention to send N20 million to 20 people with business ideas.
He responded by disclosing that he runs a football viewing centre. He added that he can only show a match at a time and he was battling with a faulty generator.
Adebisi also added that he would like to have a new generator, two televisions, UPS and a fan.
The singer acknowledged the tweet by liking it, but he didn’t take any further action. However, his influence on the tweet was felt as people reached out to Adebisi and gave him money and gifts.
In the video, Adebisi further spoke about his financial challenge and the challenges he is facing at his football viewing centre.
Reacting to the BBC video, Davido requested for Adebisi’s account details and sent money to him.
Taking to X, Adebisi uploaded a video to appreciate the singer for his kind gesture. He stated that he wasn’t expecting the huge amount of money he received and added that he felt like jumping, dancing and flying.
“Right now, I just want to jump, dance and fly but maybe next life. I thank God. I thank Davido for noticing me and blessing me, may God continue to bless him. And to the public, I can’t appreciate you enough.Thank you so much. I love y’all”, he wrote.
