Former Minister of Defence, Lt. Gen. Theophilus Danjuma (retired) has donated a female hostel to the University of Benin. The state-of-the-art building was donated in his wife, Daisy Danjuma’s name.
The hostel, which is a storey building, is located at the Ugbowo campus of the institution. It has a capacity to house about 500 students.
The generous donation is part of Danjumas’ philanthropy and desire to always uplift the downtrodden in the society and Nigeria as a whole.
The astute businessman has been committed to improving the quality of life of Nigerians, by supporting health and education interventions.
His charity works are carried out through his Non-Governmental Organization, Theophilus Danjuma Foundation, which caters for the needs of millions of underprivileged in the society.
While unveiling the new building, his delectable wife, Senator Daisy Danjuma also laid the foundation of another hostel for female students.
This development came after an inferno gutted the female hostel at the University a few weeks ago where properties and other valuables were lost.
