July 23, (THEWILL) – The General Manager of the Benue State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA), Engr James Aboho, has hailed Governor Hyacinth Alia for the release of N1 billion to the State Cares Steering Committee for project execution.

In an exclusive chat with our Correspondent in Makurdi on Tuesday, Engr. Aboho said of the amount, CSDA got a share of N409 million, which is being used to carry out some projects in the 23 local government councils in the state.

He explained that the State Cares Coordinating Unit shared the sum to what he referred to as “Result Area 1, 2 and 3. Result Area 1 has CSDA and Cash Transfer, Result Area 2 has FADAMA and Result Area 3 consists of Small and Medium Enterprise”.

According to the General Manager, the Community and Social Development Agency, under him, has listed 46 community development plans for execution in the state.

While commending Governor Alia for ensuring the quick release of funds to the CSDA that led to the execution of projects, Engr. Aboho noted that the agency had earlier received a share from the N152 million the Governor released.

“Today, even a blind man can see in the night due to the installation of street lights in Makurdi. Construction of underpasses in Makurdi, Gboko and Oturkpo are projects worthy of mention,” he stated.

He said, as a civil servant, consistent payment of monthly salary has made him and others plan ahead and are now credit-worthy under the Alia administration.

He, therefore, pledged to ensure the judicious application of resources given to CSDA under him and called on the Benue people to pray and support the administration to deliver more dividends of democracy in the years ahead.
