Crunch Time For Asia World Cup Qualifiers

June 15, (THEWILL)- For the Asia FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ qualifying series, Tuesday is a decisive day of Round 2 matches.

Eight other nations wishing to keep their hopes of reaching the global football showpiece in the region will look to join Australia, Japan, Korea Republic and Syria, who have already won their groups.

The day’s matches will have so much to offer in the pairings and fixtures scheduled. There will be no shortage of action as Group leaders Iraq of Group C, Saudi Arabia of Group D and Vietnam of Group G, who are all on 17 points will be desperate to hold on to their leads when they face nearest challengers.

In Tuesday’s games they will battle against Iran, Uzbekistan and United Arab Emirates, who are all on 15 points respectively. As the matches double as AFC Asian Cup qualifying, and World Cup hosts Qatar winning Group E, the five best runners-up will also qualify for the Mondial.
