BEVERLY HILLS, April 12, (THEWILL) – United Kingdom Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has been discharged from the hospital after receiving treatment for the novel coronavirus disease, COVID-19.
According to a spokesman, he will not immediately return to work.
THEWILL recalls that the 55-year-old was taken to St Thomas’ hospital, in London, last Sunday, 10 days after testing positive for the virus.

He was in intensive care for three nights before returning to a ward on Thursday.

“On the advice of his medical team, the PM will not be immediately returning to work. He wishes to thank everybody at St Thomas’ for the brilliant care he has received.
“All of his thoughts are with those affected by this illness,” the spokesman said on Sunday.
He added that the PM would continue his recovery at his country residence, Chequers.
Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab is currently in charge of running the government, with aides reportedly expecting Johnson to be out of action for as long as a month according to the BBC.
