THEWILL recalls that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) recently referred to news reports that published a claim that some Super Eagles players tested positive for COVID-19 as bogus. And that the Federation asked everyone to discountenance the insinuation as “a blatant falsehood.”
This was because the writer of the story totally misrepresented the timeline regarding what Super Eagles Coach Rohr said about four Nigerian players who had previously tested positive were all now fully recovered from the virus and back in action.
THEWILL reported then that, according to the Federation, all players currently in camp had been tested for the coronavirus as part of the required preparation for the match. And that the test results were being expected.
THEWILL can now authoritatively report that, based on a post from the official Twitter handle of the NFF, all Super Eagles’ players and officials tested negative to COVID 19 ahead of their friendly against Algeria tonight.
This should boost them positively towards doing their utmost to make their fans, in particular, and all Nigerians, in general, very proud.
