August 03, (THEWILL) – Rosemary Chukwuma of Nigeria is set to compete in a highly competitive Women’s 100m semi-final at the Paris 2024 Olympics. The field includes World Champion Sha’carri Richardson and Olympic champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, among other top athletes.
The semi-final lineup features a mix of established stars and emerging talents. Julien Alfred, Gina Bass Bittaye, Imani Lansiquot, Bree Masters, Patrizia Van de Weken, and Gladymar Torres round out the field, each bringing their own strengths to the race.
Chukwuma earned her place in the semi-finals with a third-place finish in Heat 5, recording a time of 11.26 seconds. She finished behind Ewa Swoboda of Poland and Dina Asher-Smith of Great Britain. Despite the tough competition ahead, Chukwuma remains positive about her chances.
Richardson enters the semi-final as a top contender following her recent World Championship victory. Her speed and form make her a favourite for gold. Fraser-Pryce, with her impressive Olympic record, is another strong competitor who cannot be overlooked in the 100m event.
