April 06, (THEWILL) – Nigerian footballer, Samuel Chukwueze, has been hailed as the “fastest man alive” by Spain’s La Liga, after his impressive performance for Villarreal this season.
Chukwueze has been a constant threat in attack for the Yellow Submarine, registering 11 goals and 11 assists so far this season. La Liga recognised the 23-year-old’s contribution to the team, in a post of him in his Villarreal jersey and the headgear of the TV character “The Flash” on Twitter.
Chukwueze’s blend of pace and skill has been a highlight of his campaign this season, and his efforts have helped Villarreal to sixth place on the La Liga table, about five points away from a UEFA Champions League spot.
The young winger has been a standout performer since he broke into the first team in 2018, but it has been under the guidance of former Barcelona coach Quique Setien that Chukwueze has truly shone.
With Villarreal in the midst of a battle for a top-four finish, Chukwueze will be looking to put on a show for the rest of the season to help his side secure a spot in the Champions League next year keeping true to his characterisation as the fastest player in the League.
