October 19, (THEWILL) – AC Milan emerged victorious in a tense Serie A match against Udinese, winning 1-0 at home despite playing with 10 men for most of the game.
The rain-soaked encounter saw Milan take an early lead through Samuel Chukwueze’s goal, but the match took a dramatic turn when midfielder Tijjani Reijnders was dismissed before the half-hour mark.
Chukwueze found the net in the 13th minute, capitalising on an assist from Christian Pulisic to place a shot into the bottom corner. However, following an extensive VAR review, the goal was disallowed due to an offside infringement, preserving Milan’s slender lead.
This hard-fought victory places AC Milan third in the Serie A standings, level on points with Inter Milan in second place. Both Milan clubs now sit on 14 points, trailing league leaders Napoli by a mere two points.
