March 01, (THEWILL) – The duo of Georgina Onuoha and Chioma Akpotha have continued their social media war over a video Akpotha made, following the violence that broke out at her polling unit.

Akpotha had taken to Instagram to share how thugs disrupted voting in her polling unit. She went on Instagram live to cry out over the violence and how she was manhandled at the polling unit.

Reacting to the video, Onuoha had recounted how during the 2019 general elections, Akpotha slid into her direct message and asked her to stop sharing posts decrying the rigging and violence experienced in some parts of the country.

Onuoha said that Akpotha told her to think of her brand, as such posts could affect her status. In response, she blasted Akpotha and the latter unfollowed her.

Onuoha pointed out how Akpotha was screaming out of her lungs like a cow because the election violence affected her directly.

She slammed her for only showing bravery, compassion and empathy because it affects her directly.

Responding to her outburst, Akpotha dared Onuoha to present evidence of her being paid by any politician to campaign for them.

She stated that failure to do so, she would hear from her lawyers.

“First off, let me say a big thank you to Nigerians and indeed non-Nigerians all over the world for your immense love and support. Thank you for the messages, thank you for the calls, thank you thank you thank you!

“The enemy within…

“I am using this medium to ask Georgina Onuoha to present evidence that any politician on the face of the earth, dead or alive, paid me to campaign for them 4 years ago and even this year, as she has constantly insinuated. Failure to do so, she will be hearing from my lawyers.

“God bless Nigeria.

“My correspondence with her from 4 years ago will be in my next post”, she wrote.

While trying to set the record straight, Akpotha shared the message she sent to Onuoha four years ago.

In the message, she appealed to Onuoha to stop covering the election violence in the country since she doesn’t reside in Nigeria.

She revealed that she was angry with Georgina over her posts as she doesn’t reside in Nigeria to perform her civic duty.

She reminded Onuoha that she is a brand and people look up to her, hence, she should desist from publishing election violence, as she feels it will incite more anger.

“Goregina, I am beginning to be disturbed or be it angry at your posts. It is bad enough that you aren’t here in Nigeria to perform your civil duty because you claim to be so passionate about your country.

“I understand that by now you are a citizen there, but you are first a Nigerian. I think one or two posts are just enough for you.

“You are a brand and some people look up to you. You are in my opinion inciting more anger and you dare me say violence in your post.

“How many posts have you done for the area that are peaceful. If you want to be some reporters of some such, don’t be biased. Weigh both sides.”

She added that it will be the last post she will make on the issue.

“As humans, there are few things we hold on to in this life… God, family and Integrity.

“And that is the only reason I responded because my integrity was questioned.

“This is the last public response on this issue.

“My conversation from 4 years ago with Georgina Onuoha”, she captioned the chats.

In a new development, Onuoha also took to Instagram to respond to Akpotha’s message. She shared a picture of herself while asking Akpotha to thank her star that she doesn’t have access to her old Instagram account.

According to the mother of two, Akpotha posted a copy-and-paste version of their chat. She noted that the world would have known the real ‘Chioma’ if she had access to her account.

She went ahead to warn Akpotha not to involve their wedding talks, children or families in the social media drama and requested that she keeps it strictly on election matters.

“Thank your lucky star. Don’t ever bring our wedding, children and family into this. We stay course on election matters. I called you out on election issues a few days ago.

“I’m glad you acknowledged that yet you felt entitled to lecture anyone on what to post on their timeline because it did not affect you then. Even when people were being killed? You can post your copy and paste chat, thank your star that my old account is no more. The world would have seen the real you. Such entitlement. Be warned… Chioma”, she wrote.
