June 14, (THEWILL) – Ekiti-based Nigerian chef, Damilola Adeparusi, has completed her 120 hours cook-a-thon.

She announced this on her Twitter page in the early hours of Wednesday.

“120hrs done! I want to appreciate you all for your support emotionally, financially, physically & spiritually. If not for you guys, I wouldn’t be able to achieve this,” she tweeted.

However, the Guinness World Records (GWR) is yet to acknowledge her attempt to break the world cooking record.

It is, however, not clear if Chef Dammy sought the request of the organisation before embarking on the attempt.

The development comes hours after the GWR officially certified Hilda Baci as the holder of the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Adeparusi started her cooking marathon on June 9 and became a viral sensation ever since then.

Her cooking marathon had also attracted different reactions from social media users. While some users commended her courage, others slammed her for allegedly planning to undermine Baci’s 93 hours record.
