Today, I write to remember a leader, mentor, brother and friend. Although this guiding star is no longer with us, the imprints of his impact forever gleam in our memories.
Herbert was not just a banker but a visionary with a heart full of grace.
He moulded Access Bank into a financial fortress, crafting an institution whose endeavours surpassed mere numbers and profit.
His vision soared as a catalyst for change. With integrity as his compass, he built an empire, fostering a culture of workplace excellence and inspiring a spirit of freedom and innovation in all who encountered him.
Herbie bridged divides through empathy, championing inclusivity from the start. He built trust as a steadfast principle. His approach to banking was not merely transactional but transformational, cultivating meaningful relationships with all stakeholders.
Although his absence has created a void, his spirit endures.
Like a mighty oak, his influence continues to grow. It keeps nurturing talents and sowing opportunities.
