The former NTA sports presenter, announced her resignation on Thursday, saying she had formally notified the APC leadership in the state and submitted her resignation letter.

Ndume, a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, stated that the recent discovery of an alleged fake government agency operating from an official government facility had vindicated his longstanding concerns about the competence of some officials around the President.

The Assembly, now led by Speaker Yekini Idaiye, maintained that Agbebaku did not voluntarily relinquish his position but was removed through an impeachment process initiated and supported by members of the House.
