October 09, (THEWILL) – The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited has further adjusted the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly called Petrol, from N855 to N998 per litre.
NNPC had on September 3, increased the pump price of petrol from N617 per litre to between N855 and N897, depending on location.
The new pump price, which is 12.7% or N113 increase from the initial price, has been initiated across all NNPC filling stations in Lagos
However, motorists in Abuja, on Wednesday, said that Petrol is being sold at N1,030 per litre at various outlets in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
This is coming amid the Commencement of crude oil sales in Naira to Dangote Refinery.
THEWILL reports that Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, on Saturday, in a statement, said that Nigeria officially commenced the sale of crude oil and refined petroleum products in Naira on October 1, 2024, in line with the directive of the Federal Executive Council (FEC).
