BEVERLY HILLS, July 18, (THEWILL) – A Boko Haram kingpin, Konto Fanami, who is the Ameer of Kafa hideout of the terrorist cell that operates along Ajigin-Talala-Mungusum axis, has surrendered to 120 Task Force Battalion of the Nigerian Army at Goniri.

According to the Army spokesman, Sani Usman, he was joined in giving up terrorism by three other members of the sect, who all deserted Kafa hideouts because of incessant hardship and upon their realization that they were misled by their terrorist group leaders.

During preliminary interrogation,
“They further stated they were also erroneously misinformed and brainwashed about Islam and the Nigerian military and the society generally.

“The remorseful surrender terrorists regretted their involvement in terrorism and marveled at the courtesies and humane treatment accorded them by the military on surrendering.”

The Director of Army Public Relations went on to advise remnants of Boko Haram terrorists to follow suit in renouncing the devilish creed, assuring that all those who voluntarily renounce terrorism and surrender themselves will receive humane treatment.
