Bishop Donates 100 Wheelchairs To Disabled In Benue

December 29, (THEWILL) – The Anglican Bishop of the Diocese of Makurdi, Rt. Reverend Nathan Nyom, has donated over 100 wheelchairs to disabled persons in Buruku local government area of Benue state.

Bishop Nyom made the donation as part of activities during his Thanksgiving Service at Saint James Anglican church, Nyom for God’s protection and his appointment as the United Nation Peace Advocate and Mediator with the UN department of Peace and Religious Affairs, New York (UAS).

The bshop said the beneficiaries were drawn from over 15 local government areas of the state while the donation was made possible by assistance from his friend, the Executive Director Beautiful Gate, Mr. Ayuba Gofwang who is passionate about assisting the less privileged in society.

Bishop Nyom urged the youth to be God-fearing, promising to continue to promote the well-being of God by touching lives and thanked Mr. Gofwang for reaching out to the people.

In his remarks, Mr. Gofwang thanked God for the privilege to touch lives, promising to continue to impact society positively for the good of humanity.

The District Head of Atikyaa, Chief Orkuma Damsa and elder brother to Bishop Nyom, Mr. Benjamin Nyom all appealed to beneficiaries to use the facility judiciously.

During the sermon, Revd David, who was preaching on “Life of a True Christian”, encouraged the faithful to live righteous lives and prayed to God to bless Bishop Nyom to do more for the people.

Some. of the beneficiaries expressed their gratitude and promised to use the wheelchairs judiciously.
