Reacting to recent attacks during which three persons were killed by suspected herders, the Federal lawmaker noted that the invasion on the people of Udeku village at Mbaikyor council ward of Turan left many others injured and displaced the entire community.

He expressed sorrow over the recurring and distressing incidents within the constituency, attributing them to the incursions by the Fulani invaders.

His Media Aide, Mr. Fred Dagu, in a statement, quotes the Federal lawmaker as  expressing sadness that the people of Kwande have been crying for help and support but so far little succour has come their way.

He implored security forces to move in and immediately quell the volatile situation in the constituency, appealing to the government to provide relief materials to cushion the negative effects on displaced constituents who are currently without sustenance.

The statement added that Ugbor expressed his readiness to collaborate with security experts and stakeholders with ideas on the most effective approach to curb insecurity in the constituency.

He called on his constituents to exercise caution and remain vigilant in the wake of unprovoked and relentless attacks, assuring them of continuous championing and advocacy for their interests at the National Assembly through relevant channels.

“I’m in talks with the Benue North-East Senator, Emmanuel Udende, to visit the affected communities with a message of hope and support to the local vigilante to confront this menace in the coming days,” he said.
