September 04, (THEWILL) – Bendel Insurance, the Benin Arsenals, have unveiled 13 new players to fortify their squad for the upcoming 2024/2025 season and beyond. The announcement comes as the club also confirms the departure of 13 regular players following the conclusion of the previous campaign.

Among the new signings are former Enyimba midfielder and striker, James Oronsaye, as well as Uche Collins. The club has also brought in Kayofe Oke from 3SC, goalkeeper Suleiman Dogo from Kwara United, Emmanuel Ugwu from Dakkada FC, Moses Ajiboye from Nasarawa United, and Isaac Ajibola from Sporting Lagos, among others.

Addressing the new players, Yussuf Alli, the Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, urged them to maintain discipline and focus as they blend with the existing squad. Alli expressed confidence in Coach Monday Odigie’s ability to mould the team into a formidable unit that can bring pride to the state.

The Benin Arsenals will host Rivers United in their first match of the new season on Sunday, September 8 at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium. The majority of the new signings are expected to feature in the highly anticipated encounter, which kicks off at 4 pm.

Meanwhile, the club has confirmed the departure of 13 players, including their stand-in captain and award-winning goalkeeper Amas Obasogie, who have secured deals with different clubs abroad.
