June 13, (THEWILL) – Reality show star, Natasha Akide, also known as Tasha, has taken to social media to advise christian to be actively involved in politics.
She made this known on Sunday and promised to make another video for Muslim faithfuls on Friday.
According to her, some Christians believe that politics is a dirty game, but she stated that, “there is nothing dirty in politics.”
She quoted some biblical references, where Christians are said to be “light of the world and salt of the earth”. She added that “there is no light in Nigeria” despite the numbers of churches and prominent men of God the country is blessed with.
“The church needs to do more. They need to get actively involved. We have strong men of God that people bow to and prostate for, yet it is not reflecting in our society.
“Even in the bible, anointed men of God anoint kings, we need to start setting examples. We need to speak out, we are in a state of emergency in Nigeria.
“Some of those prayer points that people bring, it is not their village people behind it. There is so much hardship, people are suffering. We all have to work hand in hand to make this country work again. I am urging Christians to get actively involved.”
