March 30, (THEWILL)- Bayern Munich’s hopes of claiming a 12th consecutive Bundesliga title took another massive hit on Saturday as they suffered a 2-0 home loss against rivals Borussia Dortmund. This result ended Dortmund’s 11-game winless run in Der Klassiker fixtures while potentially signalling the end of Bayern’s domestic dominance.
The game got off to a blistering start for the visitors, with Karim Adeyemi opening the scoring inside 10 minutes. Julian Brandt’s defence-splitting pass released Adeyemi, whose pace proved too much for Bayern’s backline as he slotted past the helpless Sven Ulreich in goal.
