Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament Final Matches Rescheduled

July 20, (THEWILL) – The organisers of the Bayelsa Governor’s Football Tournament (Prosperity Cup), have announced a slight change in the schedule of the final matches due to unforeseen circumstances.

According to a statement signed by Perela Aboro, Technical Director, Prosperity Cup season 6, said on Friday, July 19, there shall be a Para Soccer final by 1:00 pm and thereafter the Women’s Third place match where Niger Delta Queens take on Afini Ladies at 3.00 pm.

The statement further stated that Saturday, July 20, will feature the Third Match which will be between Bayelsa United Feeders and Kongho FC of Brass at 11:00 am and the Grande Finale will see NDU Queen, ‘s takes on Peremor Soccer Academy at the women, ‘s final by 1.00 pm.

According to the statement, the Final of finals would see Ogboinbiri Utd of Southern Ijaw trade tentacle with Nembe City FC of Nembe at the men’s final by 3.00 pm as all matches would take place at the Samson Siasia’s Sports Complex.

Distinguished Guests include Chairman of the Occasion, Senator John Owan Enoh, Minister of Sports Development Special Guest of Honor, His Excellency, Godwin Obaseki, Governor of Edo State, Guests of Honour, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources Dr Sam Ogbuku, MD, NDDC Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau, President of the Nigerian Football Federation. With Hon. Daniel Igali, Commissioner for Sports Development as host and the Tournament Promoter as Chief Host, His Excellency, Senator Douye Diri, Governor of Bayelsa State

According to Perela Aboro, Tournament Director, “We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the reschedule and look forward to a thrilling grande finale of Prosperity Cup 2024.”
