BEVERLY HILLS, February 24, (THEWILL) – Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, the senatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ogun Central has been declared winner of that election by INEC’s Returning Officer, Professor Ayinde Akanbi.
Amosun polled 88,110 votes to defeat Solomon Sanyaolu of the PDP, his closest challenger, who scored 33,276 votes.
In the Imo West/Orlu senate race, Governor Rochas Okorocha, the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has won in 8 of the 12 local government areas declared by the returning officer.
