BEVERLY HILLS, July 12, (THEWILL) – The abducted Director of accounts in the office of the Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, Mr. Thomas Otuyemi, who was taken by gunmen in the Epe area of the state, has been rescued by the police.
Otuyemi, 60, was abducted alongside his son, by the gunmen who came from the creeks in the Epe area and took father and son away to an unknown location.
The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Dolapo Badmos, who earlier confirmed their abduction said they were rescued on Tuesday morning.
The spokesperson said they were rescued around Isheri-Oshun area of Berger by the police, but was silent on whether any ransom was paid.
