September 07, (THEWILL) – Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has sacked the Chief Executive Officer of Lobi Stars Football Club, Dominic Iorfa.
The Technical Adviser to the Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Solomon Iorpev, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, said Alia also directed that the football club be moved to the Benue Sports Council.
Iorpev said a new board of the club has been constituted, with Dr. Philip Nongu as Chairman, and Dr. Iorngulum Malu as the Secretary.
Other members include Chief Solomon Andiir, Mr. Harry Yachi, and Mr. Francis Ejiga, while Sir James Iorpuu is to serve as the government representative on the board.
“The Governor has directed that all management handover must be completed before midnight today, Saturday 7/9/2024,” the statement added.
